Itinerary
As one of the four sacred mountains in Buddhism in China, Mount Putuo is located over the East China Sea. Today it is also well-known as a popular tour destination.
Day 01 (Stay in hotel in Putuo)
Today, we will take a private bus to Ningbo and take a jetfoil to Mount Putuo. There are many temples and monastery scattered in the island, but the Three Main Temples is a must to visit. We will take the cable way up to Huiji Temple which is on top of the mountain, and then come down to visit Fayu Temple and Puji Temple. Puji Temple is considered as the master temple over the island where it boasts the most grand halls and the Nine Dragon Wall.
Day 02 (Stay in hotel in Putuo)
This morning, we will take the jetfoil to Mount Luojia, which is a small island to the southeast of Mount Putuo. Some people believe that if you don't visit Mount Luojia, the pilgrimage to Mount Putuo is incomplete. In the afternoon, we will come back to Putuo main island to visit some other scenic spots, like Purple Bamboo Woods, the Statue of Kuanyin over the Sea, Qianbusha Sand Beach, etc.
Day 03
Free program before we transfer back to Hangzhou.
